This Mercedes is a 280 SE with the first registration from 21.7.1977. From 1972 to 1980 a total of 473000 of this type called W 116 were produced. This S - class represented at that time the non plus ultra of its vehicle class. The undoubtedly good workmanship was one of the reasons why the board of directors of the Motorsport Department Augsburg e.V. decided to purchase such a classic car in summer 2004. We found what we were looking for in Oldenburg. The absolute original condition and the then only 77000 km mileage were the most important criteria that led to the purchase decision.

Since autumn 2004 the Motorsport Abteilung Augsburg e.V. is now in the unique position to lend this vehicle to those of its members who do not own a classic car for use at classic car meetings, classic car rallies and for private use for weekend trips etc.

For this purpose the following daily rates are fixed:

1 day including 300 km € 40,--
2 days incl. 500 km € 70,--
3 days including 500 km € 90,--
7 days including 750 km € 150,--

The deposit to be paid in each case is € 350,--.
